Brian Smith launched his career with Facelifters (U.S. Home Systems), the nation’s largest cabinet refacing company, where he quickly rose through the ranks thanks to his mastery of Power Linguistics™ — a sales system developed by the renowned Dave Yoho Associates. His ability to lead and deliver results earned him a regional Sales Manager position, where he drove performance across multiple markets.
From overseeing the largest sunroom dealer in the country to managing an Owens Corning Basement Finishing franchise, Brian has played a critical role in building and scaling successful operations. He’s helped launch new locations nationwide and has personally trained thousands of sales professionals, including over 250 sales managers, many of whom rank among the top in the industry today.
As a former senior account executive at Dave Yoho Associates, Brian specialized in business turnarounds, applying his expertise in sales, marketing, scripting, lead development, and operations to help companies grow. Through 10 Step Selling, he continues his mission to deliver high-impact, results-driven sales training that helps teams secure “one more” lead, demo, or deal — day in and day out.
With nearly four decades of hands-on experience, Matt Nyberg is a proven leader in the home improvement industry. He began his journey in the warehouse of one of the nation’s largest home improvement companies and quickly transitioned to sales—going door-to-door offering insulation based on utility savings. His strong sales acumen propelled him into leadership roles, eventually becoming Vice President of Sales.
Matt went on to become a partner in the country’s largest Four Seasons dealer, deepening his industry expertise. He later joined Renewal by Andersen in a key management role, followed by a strategic position at Jacuzzi, where he played a critical role in launching a new market and expanding brand reach.
Throughout his career, Matt has trained hundreds—if not thousands—of sales reps, instilling the mindset, skills, and systems that drive long-term success. He brings that same energy and insight to 10 Step Selling, where he helps businesses unlock consistent growth by teaching them how to win “one more” sale with a repeatable, scalable process. Away from work, Matt is a proud husband of 28 years and father to a University of Miami (Ohio) student.
Chris Lavoie has been a sales leader in both auto and home improvement sales for over 35 years. He brings his knowledge and lessons learned from other sales disciplines and how to apply them to your remodeling sales process for better, lasting results. He is an accomplished sales coach and advisor who excels at identifying core challenges in the sales process.
In his previous role, he helped grow a team of 17 sales reps producing $8m/year to over 200 reps and 14 sales managers producing $200m/year, leading to the company's eventual sale to private equity.
This has made Chris a sought after speaker and consultant who offers his unique perspective on how to sell "Just one more". He can provide invaluable frontline sales and sales management ideas that you can use in your business right away.
